We want to welcome our second American player to the Swedish league and Örebro Volleyball! Angel have been playing for Maryland university (team captain) and Hawaii university and the last season in Greece.
Coach Svante had this to say about Angel:
Angel is a left handed opposite with great tolls in her attack, she is a hard worker with good block skills and a good serve. Together with the rest of the team I hope with Angel we are going to get a fast and strong attack that will help us reach our goals that we have set for the season.
We also asked Angel herself a few questions before her travel to Sweden.
Welcome to the club! What made you choose Örebro Volley?
I chose Örebro Volley because after talking with the coach it just seemed like the right type of atmosphere for me. They are a great team doing great things and I want to be apart of that.
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am 24 years old, from Florida. I started playing volleyball in high school and went to the University of Maryland and University of Hawaii to play in college. After graduating with a degree in Art, I went to play my first season in Greece. I’m really excited to have a chance to play a second season in Sweden!
What are you looking forward to the most this coming season?
The thing I’m looking forward to the most this season is building a connection with my new team, from teammates to coaches to trainers and accomplishing something awesome with them all!
How has your summer been?
My summer has probably been the best summer of my life so far. I traveled the country working my sports internship and got to see some amazing places and meet great people!
