Coach Talk: Kvartsfinal 1

Under slutspelet kommer vi följa upp matcherna med kommentarer från coach Brendan Garlick. Samtliga intervjuer kommer vara på engelska.

Congratulations, 3-0 against Gislaved in the first game. What are your thoughts today?

It was an okay start in the final series for us and I felt we were in control of the game for most parts.

You played with the same seven players. We have learned you don´t sub so often during the games. More between games. Comments?

During the first half of the season it was important that all players were given opportunities to improve and learn so not only our top level improved. To achieve this meant some times having to be comfortable with giving players opportunities to learn from being in negative situations. This also gave me the opportunity to learn about individual players and the team in positive and negative situations.

That being said the second half of the season and finals time come with a different priority and the seven on court were in control of the game so no substitutions were required.

Have you looked at the stats yet? Any comments ?

I was relatively happy with our side out game, though not happy with our efficiency in defense. In attack we were tracking well until the mid point of the third set where we let ourselves down with three lots of back to back attacking errors.

So now you have two home games. Next game already on Wednesday. Your thoughts ?

It is good to come home with the away game win though our attitude is we are back to square one. We have much to improve on still so we must continue to work hard at practise first. We love playing in front of our home crowd but there are no easy games against Gislaved so we hope to see all our supporters Wednesday night helping us take another win.
